Self-Compassion for Difficult Times

Updated: May 1, 2020

How are you doing these days? Are you being kind to yourself with all that is going on, or have you noticed your inner critic taking over?

Often, when under stress, we fall back into old patterns of not feeling like we are good enough and being overly harsh and critical of ourselves. We know we don’t like how we are feeling, so we think if we blame ourselves for it, it will somehow make us feel better. The problem is that this approach never works. Only through self-compassion can we make lasting positive change.

Today I am sharing an exercise I have been doing before bed to help bring in more self-compassion at the end of the day. Try it daily for a week and let me know how it makes you feel!

I am also offering a reminder about my special Virtual Stress Reduction Workshop this Sunday, May 3rd at 10am. Join me!
