What does a highly sensitive person mean, you may ask?


The most basic way to understand it is that highly sensitive people have a more finely tuned sensitive nervous system. We feel deeply and often experience heightened awareness of the senses – touch, taste, smell, sound. We may experience strong emotions and we are often creative, intuitive, compassionate and extremely empathic. We are more easily affected by stress and tend to need a lot of time away from the chaos of the world to recover and balance. We may become overwhelmed more easily than the average non-highly sensitive person and may be considered quiet, introverted or shy. We also respond more favorably to positive experiences, such as self-care, pleasure and relaxing environments.


According to psychologist Elaine Aron, PhD, who has done extensive work in the field of psychology to bring the trait of high sensitivity into the light, about 20% of the population (including myself!) is highly sensitive. Maybe you are too?

What is Wellness & Empowerment Coaching for Sensitive Souls?

As a coach, is both my honor and pleasure to help sensitive souls like myself find health and harmony in their lives. I practice a holistic approach to wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to make unhealthy choices? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercise?  Does your inner critic speak so loudly that no matter what you do you never feel like what you are doing is good enough? Does a feeling of overwhelm keep you from finding the peace and balance that you have been searching for?

As my client, you will learn how to manage stress and anxiety, embrace self-compassion and stand in your power as a sensitive being.

As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the lifestyle choices that work best for you and one step at a time you will implement lasting changes that will improve your wellbeing, energy and balance.  You will learn to view your sensitivity as a strength (even a super-power!), cultivate more self-compassion and live with an empowered mindset. The healthy habits you create will allow you to be your best self and help you to share your sensitive gifts with the world more fully.
